Brie Bella reveals she passed out while pooping in frightening ordeal: ‘Did I s–t my pants?’

Brie Bella had a nightmare of a hospital visit after passing out while on the toilet.

The WWE star, who broke her scapula in early August, talked about a scary experience that left her with nothing in her system in the latest podcast episode of “The Nikki & Brie Show.”

While on painkillers, Bella had been extremely constipated. That was until she had a misunderstanding with a waiter that led her to eating gluten-friendly food rather than a gluten-free dish in her first meal out since surgery.

To put it lightly, that opened the floodgates.

“I thought I was good. Was not good. Go home, I get severe crazy pain in my stomach and I knew it was coming…,” Bella said to her sister, Nikki. “I haven’t used the restroom for eight days, if not maybe I’m at 10. My body went from zero to 1,000 on the toilet. What happens to me is I get really sick from both ends.

“I’m starting to feel like I’m about to pass out and I’m like, ‘BRYAN! BRYAN!'” she went on about calling after her husband and fellow professional wrestler, Bryan Danielson. “He wasn’t coming and I’m like the f-k I’m about to die. I call him — thank God I had my phone — and am like, ‘I’m about to pass out.’ I hear him run. Sure enough, I’m like, ‘Timberrrr,’ pants down, on the toilet. Bryan comes, I’m passed out. My nanny was there to help, thank goodness. Bryan screamed for her, so she comes in. Thank goodness she’s in nursing school, and I was definitely her first patient. She got a close look at what happens to the body.”

Bella further detailed that Danielson and the nanny carried her to bed while her kids were screaming, and they couldn’t wake her up.

The EMTs entered her house while Bells said she was “incoherent” and apparently had to use the restroom because she went on to “s–t my pants.”

“But I did not know it. I get put into a wheelchair and then a stretcher,” Bella said. “…I’m in the ambulance, and Bryan can’t come with me. I was shivering so my whole body, I guess, was shaking and I was telling them ‘I’m freezing cold. I’m freezing cold.’ They turned the air conditioning off, they’re sweating. I kinda wake up, and I’m like, ‘Oh, it smells like s–t.’ I looked at them and they look at me. ‘Did I s–t my pants?’ They go, ‘You did, but it’s okay.’ And I go ‘I S–T MY PANTS?!?!’ I’m getting emotional and I’m apologizing. I could feel it.”

She said it left her “super embarrassed” and it woke her “right the f up.”

Bella said she had to sit in her same clothes for over two hours so the hospital could do tests on her. They reassured her the situation is “normal.”

“I got a lot out, which made me pass out, because of how much came out of me,” Bella explained.

When Danielson, who Bella said is “terrified of s–t,” arrived at the hospital, he said: “They didn’t clean you?”

It wasn’t until after two IV bags and medicine that Bella started to feel more like herself and was able to walk to the bathroom where Danielson cleaned her.

“My poor husband. It was so embarrassing,” Bella said. 

“What a great test,” Nikki joked.

Bella said it has now become a family joke with her kids teasing her about it.

Their daughter, Birdie Joe Danielson, even tried to write a story about it, but Danielson put an end to it to save Bella from more embarrassment.

Bella and Danielson met and started dating in 2010, getting engaged in 2013.

Danielson popped the question while hiking in Big Sur, Calif., and the proposal was caught on camera for an episode of the WWE reality show “Total Divas.”

The couple tied the knot at L’Auberge Resort and Spa in Sedona, Ariz., in April 2014.

The have since had two children — daughter Birdie and son Buddy Dessert Danielson.

Bella suffered her shoulder injury at WWE SummerSlam 2026 after a cannonball onto the ringside steps.

There remains no timeline for her return.
