Dramatic dashcam video captured the moment an SUV veered off a snowy road and nearly plunged down a cliff on Christmas Day – sending bystanders scrambling to rescue those trapped inside.

The terrifying ordeal unfolded when the black vehicle suddenly started sliding on the icy roadway in Lake Tahoe and then nose-dived down the embankment, KABC reported.

The car could be seen dangling on its side as two of its wheels continued to spin in the wintry conditions, the footage shows.

The vehicle trailing directly behind the SUV kept driving despite the frightening saga.

But two brothers traveling close behind, Yvett Bañares-Tala and Ruben Tala, could be seen quickly pulling over and jumping into action as they rushed to help.

At one point, one of the good Samaritan brothers could be seen sprinting towards the SUV and clutching onto the door as one of the people inside waved their arms.

They frantically helped the two people, as well as their two dogs, climb out of the vehicle before first responders arrived on scene.

Miraculously, no one was injured.
