Jenna Ortega warns fans about mistreating ‘Wednesday’ dolls in new TikTok trend

Wednesday Addams isn’t messing around.

Jenna Ortega told fans to stop participating in a viral TikTok trend that involves mistreating “Wednesday” dolls.

Recent videos have shown people coming across dolls of Ortega’s character in the hit Netflix series that are being sold in stores, and turning their hair behind their head so the dolls look like they are bald.

In one video, there are over a dozen Wednesday Addams dolls sitting on a display in a store after being mistreated.

At least one store even had to put up a sign that says, “Do not flip Wednesday’s hair, you will be asked to leave.”

Ortega, 22, eventually spoke out about the viral trend by commenting on one of the TikToks.

“Please don’t,” the actress wrote.

However, most fans were amused over the trend.

“WHY ARE THEY SO MAD ITS SO FUNNY,” one TikToker wrote.

“It’s never that serious,” another person said.

Someone else wrote, “Now that’s too far, getting kicked out for making her bald????”

“But why do they even care that much,” a fourth comment read.

Even brands like Uno, Vitamin Water, Fanta, Rice Krispies Treats, Play-Doh and La Roche Posay got a kick out of the viral trend.

“The way the dolls look like they are over it too,” La Roche Posay commented.

“Wednesday” premiered on Netflix in Nov. 2022 and is returning for Season 2 in 2025.

The series, created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, follows Gomez and Morticia Addams’ teenage daughter enrolling at Nevermore Academy, where she is thrust into solving a murder.

Ortega told the Times UK last year that she was initially unsure about singing onto the comedy horror series because she wanted to focus more on her film career.

“I got the email, passed on it,” the “Scream VI” star said. “I had done so much TV in my life. All I’ve ever wanted to do is film.”

However, she said she changed her mind because of Tim Burton, who produces the series. The pair have since worked together on the “Beetlejuice” sequel.

In an interview with Vanity Fair in August, Ortega teased that “Wednesday” Season 2 will feature more “horror.”

“Not to say that suddenly we’re the goriest show of all time,” she clarified. “I mean, there’s six-year-olds watching. We’re doing this thing now where Wednesday just kind of appears. She is a little bit of a jump scare herself.”
