ITV I'm a Celebrity's Danny Jones panics as snake goes up in shorts in terrifying moment

by · Wales Online

I'm A Celebrity launched its latest series with a bang, as the ten new contestants faced a daunting set of tasks to determine the camp's initial leaders.

The celebrities were divided into two teams, with Oti Mabuse, Tulisa Contostavlos, Jane Moore, Danny Jones, and Dean McCullough in one group.

The opposing team consisted of Alan Halsall, Barry McGuigan, GK Barry, Coleen Rooney, and Melvin Odoom.

The first challenge for one group involved drinking a dubious cocktail concocted from a variety of revolting ingredients before dashing to waiting helicopters.

Following a skydiving adventure, the first group had to pair up with someone from the second team, leading to Danny teaming up with Barry, reports the Mirror.

Upon reaching a trial area, Ant and Dec welcomed them and introduced the 'The Mausoleum of Misery' trial, where each was confined to a chamber surrounded by five padlocked stars.

But, 'true' to I'm A Celebrity fashion, there was a twist 15 snakes were released into each of their chambers.

Mid-challenge, a panicked Danny yelled out, "I've got a snake up my shorts," causing Ant and Dec to burst into laughter.

Dec added a touch of humour by quipping, "That is what's known here as a trouser snake," while Danny writhed uncomfortably.

After the challenge concluded, it emerged that Danny had nabbed all five stars while Barry hadn't secured any. Yet, before he could bask in his triumph, Danny pleaded, "Can you get it out of my shorts!"

An animal handler stepped into frame as Danny unzipped his shorts, unveiling an enormous snake nestled within them.

The handler deftly removed the reptile from Danny's clothing, subsequent to which they returned to camp.

Speculation is rife with Love Island's Maura Higgins and Rev Richard Coles tipped to join the reality show, potentially increasing the count of campmates to twelve.
