Wynne Evans has issued an update after he pulled out of his Strictly Come Dancing It Takes Two interview on Wednesday night.

Last night (13 November), viewers were expecting to see Wynne, 52, and his professional partner Katya Jones on the spin-off show. However, minutes into the programme, host Janette Manrara informed fans this wouldn't be the case.

Despite Fleur East confirming that Wynne was expected to appear on It Takes Two on Wednesday, it seems that there was a last-minute change.

Janette said: "If you've got any questions like, 'Why are Chris and Dianne on when yesterday we said it was going to be Wynne and Katya?' It's live TV, guys. You've got to roll with it, alright? Just roll with it."

Taking to Instagram late on Wednesday evening, Wynne shared a picture from Blackpool, where Strictly will be filming this weekend for the Blackpool Tower Ballroom special, in an update.

The Welsh opera singer penned: "We're in town" as he tagged Strictly and Katya, who reposted the Story on her own Instagram account.

On Sunday night, Wynne found himself in the dreaded dance-off for the first time against Shayne Ward. It was clear the judges were divided when it came to who should remain in the show.

Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse opted to keep Shayne, while Anton Du Beke wanted to save Wynne. This meant it was down to head judge Shirley Ballas to make the final call. In the end, she decided to save Wynne and Katya, ending Shayne's time in the competition with pro partner Nancy Xu.

Speaking about his time in the show, Shayne said: "I just want to say, you guys up there [the other contestants] are a dream. Every single day, coming in here and seeing you guys you helped me so much.

"I want to say thank you to the audience as well for always being amazing for us all. This has been, honestly, one of the best things I've ever done."

Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday 16 November at 6:45pm for a special evening from the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom with the results show airing the next day on Sunday 17 November at 7:20pm on both BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
