BBC Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts were enthralled by professional dancer Carlos Gu's riveting execution on Sunday evening.

The Sunday results broadcast featured a spine-tingling performance from the outstanding professional dancers. The number was Beetlejuice-inspired, with Carlos at the forefront of the routine.

Embodying the 'true' essence of Halloween, Carlos channelled his Beetlejuice alter-ego, complete with a monochrome striped suit, electric green hair, and haunting makeup to top off his appearance.

Social media lit up as viewers flocked to Twitter to share their accolades for Carlos and the night's show-stopping act. A supporter exclaimed: "Carlos has won Hallowe'en #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing."

Delighted by the spectacle, another fan remarked: "Loved that routine brilliantly led by Carlos! ! #Strictly," and one more added: "Nothing to see here. Just Carlos showing us why he should've been partnered up this year," as reported by the Mirror.

Echoing the sentiments, someone else commented: "Carlos did a star turn as Beetlejuice. Amazing! #Strictly."

A forthright follower praised, "Carlos slayed #strictly," while another stated, "Carlos has stole the show this weekend #strictly."

Additionally, Carlos left audiences speechless on Saturday night when he appeared clad in attire reminiscent of presenter Claudia Winkleman for the Halloween edition of Strictly.

His outfit was punctuated with a wig uncannily resembling Claudia's iconic fringe, achieving an impressive lookalike effect.

Spectators were quick to voice their surprise, with a curious tweet asking: "Who's that other 'Claudia'? #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly."

One fan was left starstruck, tweeting: "Carlos dressed as Claudia is amazing! #Strictly," while another viewer quipped: "There are two Claudia's, I had to take two #strictly #StrictlyComeDancing."

In tonight's episode, two contestants will battle it out in a high-pressure dance-off to secure their place in the competition. The judges will then cast their votes, deciding who stays and who goes, with the contestant receiving the lowest number of votes being eliminated.

Last weekend's dance-off saw JB Gill and Paul Merson go head-to-head, with the judges opting to save JLS's JB and his partner Amy Dowden.

However, in a dramatic turn of events, Amy was forced to miss the results show at the last minute due to a sudden illness that struck backstage.

BBC bosses quickly called for emergency services, and Amy was rushed to hospital for treatment. A spokesperson for Amy said: "Amy was feeling unwell, so an ambulance was called as a precaution.

"She is feeling much better and would like to thank the Strictly family for their love and concern. We request Amy's privacy in matters of health is kindly respected."

Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday on BBC One.
