ITV I'm A Celebrity star emotional as Ant and Dec share announcement with camp
by Dan Laurie · Wales OnlineI'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! has returned, and the next contestant to face the Bushtucker Trial has been announced.
Hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly introduced 10 new celebrities to the challenging ITV reality show on Sunday (November 17) evening.
This year's lineup includes dancer Oti Mabuse, Coronation Street star Alan Halsall, Loose Women panelist Jane Moore, Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough, N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos, DJ Melvin Odoom, TV personality Coleen Rooney, former boxing champion Barry McGuigan, content creator GK Barry, and McFly's Danny Jones.
At the end of the episode, Ant and Dec revealed that GK Barry was chosen by the public to take on The Vile Volcano challenge, aiming to win stars for the group, reports the Express.
According to online bookmaker Betway, Danny is currently the favourite to win this year's series, with Alan and GK Barry also among the top contenders.
Betway spokesperson Mike Reading commented: "I'm A Celebrity is renowned for gathering a mix of reality stars, soap actors, athletes, and big personalities, and this year's line-up appears to follow suit."
"McFly seem to have the magic touch when it comes to reality TV, with bassist Dougie Poynter taking home the jungle crown in 2011, and drummer Harry Judd snagging the Strictly Come Dancing Glitterball Trophy the same year."
Although it's not yet official, there's growing speculation that Love Island's Maura Higgins might join the jungle royalty, as rumours suggest she and Reverend Richard Coles could be surprise latecomers to the camp.
Mike commented: "Both GK Barry and Maura Higgins are known for their humour and outspoken opinions, and with Maura dating Pete Wicks - could he be celebrating the win of someone else close to him, after best pal Sam Thompson was crowned King of the Jungle last year? ".
I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! airs at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX
