Currently, approximately 2.8 million people work as customer service representatives across the United States, with workforce projections indicating a 5.5% contraction in this field between 2024 and 2034.

Data entry keyers secured the second position with a vulnerability score of 90, while telemarketers followed closely with a rating of 88.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics forecasts that data entry keyer positions will decrease by 25.9% through 2034, while telemarketing roles are expected to contract by 22.1%.


Business operations dominates AI development focus

Expanding the view beyond specific careers, AgentLocker’s research revealed that Business Operations represents the work category receiving the most attention from AI technology creators.
