Wicked star Ariana Grande, who is currently bringing in rave reviews for her portrayal of Galinda Upland in Wicked, is being praised for having the 'best perfume ever'. The star's first fragrance, Ari, was released in 2015 but has over 16,000 glowing reviews on shopping giant Amazon.
The 30ml bottles of the scent have dropped down in Black Friday sales across a number of sites, with LookFantastic charging £23.10 and Boots going a little higher at £24.75. The best price we've found is over on Amazon at £24.45 for a larger 50ml bottle.
Ari opens up fruity with notes of raspberry, pear and grapefruit. The heart is a floral blend of vanilla orchid, rose and lily-of-the-valley. The base mixes sweet and comforting with a well balanced marshmallow, musk and woody notes.

It's brought in an impressive average rating of 4.7 out of 5 from across 16,202 global ratings. One shopper said: "By far the best perfume I have ever bought, even the higher market perfumes that I have spent an absolute fortune on don’t compare to this. Such a great fresh fragrance, really don’t write reviews but this is divine."
A second said: "I love this perfume. The bottle itself with the lovely fluffy pompom and also the design of the bottle makes it look super expensive. The smell of the perfume is so nice and fresh. I spray on of a morning and lasts all day, struggle to find perfumes that do this. Would really recommend to anyone looking for a new fragrance."
A third wrote: "I absolutely love this perfume. I bought it on a whim as I left my YSL perfume at university and was planning on wearing it Christmas day. I hate not having a perfume at hand but didn't have a lot of money. I bought this in the sale not knowing if it would suit me. I was worried it would be sickly sweet or overpowering but I really liked it. It is a sweet perfume however with a powdered vanilla note making it quite smooth. I have received a lot of complements on the perfume and many where surprised when I told them which one it was."
A fourth added: "The fragrance is soooooo nice! It lasts all day and smells like a much more expensive perfume. She has had lots of compliments while wearing and is definitely her new favourite perfume. I have even stolen it for a few nights out. Really recommend this for its fragrance and value for money."
Some shoppers don't think it's unique enough, with one writing: "Ari is a decent enough every day fragrance as in there's nothing in it that I find disagreeable scent-wise, but I just don't think that there's nothing in it that makes this fragrance stand out from the sea of other fruity/floral gourmands that are on the market: more fruity then floral, with sweet citrus, watery pear & red berries, quiet powdered underdeveloped floral notes that could really be anything, and musk-infused sugary vanilla. The sillage and longevity are so-so; nothing great at 5 to 6 hours, but there are plenty of worse offenders out there.
"Ari is like walking through a department store's beauty hall, as it smells like so many other things that have been widely available since 'celeb scents' began to overpower the fragrance market. I'd best describe Ari as being one of those fragrances which you wouldn't spend money on, but would wear happily enough if you got it as a gift."
This is a popular scent for fans of Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium, which is currently reduced to £46.45 on LookFantastic for a 30ml bottle, and Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb which is £53.60 for a 30ml bottle on Superdrug. You can get Ari for £24.45 on Amazon now.
