People flocked to Liverpool city centre today as the heatwave continued. Temperatures climbed to 30C throughout the week and reached a high of 31C today.
The weather was expected to cool down slightly tomorrow, but the Met Office has now confirmed that is not the case. Temperatures are set to exceed 30C on Saturday (July 11), with a maximum of 33C.
The Met Office said: "Another dry and sunny day for much of the region, although some cloud and a few spots of rain may move into Cumbria during the afternoon. Feeling very warm. Maximum temperature 33C."
The North West is currently under an amber heat health alert due to the extreme weather. But people can expect a slight "relief" next week.
