Fresno Pacific gets biggest-ever $60M donation for track facilities, academic programs

Fresno Pacific University recently received a $60 million donation that will help strengthen its nursing program and add new track facilities.

The university announced the massive gift Monday morning, calling it the largest in Central Valley history.

“This is truly a transformational moment in the history of Fresno Pacific University,” school president André Stephens said. “This extraordinary generosity will create opportunities for generations of students and strengthen our ability to serve the Central Valley in ways that will be felt far beyond our campuses.”

The anonymous donation will help support scholarships, fund a new track and field stadium and grow the university’s nursing program. Additionally, Fresno Pacific University will use the funds to build a new physician associate program, which the campus expects to launch in 2029.

“I want this gift to create opportunities for students for many years to come,” the anonymous donor said in a written statement. “My hope is that it will help students pursue their education, strengthen healthcare here in the Valley and give student-athletes the opportunity to excel in competition, in the classroom and in their faith.”
