KTMB adds two ETS train services for Deepavali 2024

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) will be adding two more services to its Electric Train Services (ETS) for the KL Sentral – Padang Besar – KL Sentral route, the rail service provider announced in a statement.

The added train services will operate for five days from October 30 to November 3, 2024 in order to accommodate the expected increase in passenger demand during the festive season, according to KTMB. Ticket sales for the additional service times will begin today, October 10 at 10am.

An additional 630 tickets a day for a total of 3,150 additional tickets, including for business class coaches, will be made available with the additional trains. In terms of scheduling, train number 9283 departs Padang Besar at 11:05am to arrive in KL Sentral at 4:30pm, while train number 9286 departs KL Sentral at 5:00pm to arrive in Padang Besar at 10:20pm.

The initiative is aimed at easing traffic congestion during the holiday season, and for passengers to travel comfortably and safely, said KTMB.
