2025 Mazda BT-50 facelift teased before Oct 18 debut

After over four years, the Mazda BT-50 pick-up truck will finally receive a facelift, and we’ll get to see it next week on October 18, 2024. Currently in its third generation, the update for the BT-50 will come months after the Isuzu D-Max, which the Mazda model is based on, got its facelift in October last year.

The company isn’t revealing much for now, merely saying the pick-up truck will bring with it “a comprehensive redesign inside and out, as well as significant enhancements to the human machine interface (HMI), associated safety and assistance systems and additional functionality.”

There’s also a shadowy teaser to go along with the announcement where we can see the BT-50’s new headlamps, which appear to mimic the signature seen on the latest CX-5. The image also suggests a much larger badge at the front, likely corresponding with a bigger grille.

In Malaysia, the BT-50 went on sale in November 2021 and is currently offered in five variants priced between RM92,729.20 and RM142,918.40 on-the-road without insurance. Like the D-Max which we also have here, the Mazda pick-up truck is available with either a RZ4E-TC 1.9 litre or 4JJ3-TCX 3.0 litre inline-four turbodiesel engine, paired with a six-speed manual or automatic.
