PLUS Putra Mahkota-Southville contraflow tomorrow

PLUS users, take note. The North South Highway concessionaire has announced a contraflow for advertising board gantry structure maintenance works at KM293.4 northbound. It’s between the Persimpangan Putra Mahkota and Southville City toll plazas.

The work is scheduled for tomorrow night, 10pm from May 19 to 5am the following morning. The E2 highway operator says that it expects minimal traffic disruption at the location, but highway users are advised to plan their journeys and follow the signs and crew at the location.

If we look at the graphic above, all three northbound lanes plus the emergency lane will be closed to traffic (PLUS doesn’t like the term ‘lane closure’) and traffic will be funnelled into a contraflow lane on the southbound side. To compensate, a Smartlane will be opened at the stretch to maintain three southbound lanes.
