No KL Car Free Morning on March 22, 29; Raya hols
by Danny Tan · Paul Tan's Automotive NewsThe KL Car Free Morning (KLCFM) working committee has announced that there will be no KLCFM on March 22 and 29, which are the next two Sundays. The weekly Sunday morning open circuit around the city has been cancelled due to the Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays.
Earlier this week, prime minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced an extra public holiday for Raya — either March 20 or 23 depending on the anak bulan sighting. If the first day of Raya falls on Friday, March 20, then Monday, March 23 will be the extra public holiday. If the first day of Raya falls on Saturday, March 21, then Friday, March 20 will be the extra PH.
Fans of the KLCFM – where 5/7km of city centre roads are blocked off to traffic to allow cyclists, runners and skaters full freedom on Sunday mornings – will have to wait for the next round in April.
