Going up in displacement, the 2025 KTM 1390 Super Adventure S Evo will enter the market early next year. New for the 1390 Super Adventure S Evo is aerodynamically designed bodywork, new headlight and improved cooling system.

In the engine room, displacement takes a small jump from 1,300 cc to 1,350 cc, giving the 1390 Super Adventure S Evo a power figure of 173 PS at 9,500 with a peak torque of 145 Nm at 8,000 rpm. The LC8 V-twin now features CamShift, letting the inlet cams retard valve timing and lift for improved rideability and decreased emissions at low engine rpm.

This is mated to an all-new Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) – a first for KTM. AMT allows the rider to choose between a traditional manual shifting, using either the foot lever or bar-mounted paddles, or a completely twist-and-go automated transmission.

Also new is a vertically-mounted V80 TFT touchscreen. The 8-inch screen features inductive technology, allowing easy operation even when wearing thick winter gloves, while an innovative anti-reflex, anti-fingerprint and anti-glare coating improves overall readability.

Using the screen gives the rider access to new ride modes and smartphone connectivity, as well as KTM’s latest Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). This allows for Brake Assistance, Collision Warning, and Distance Warning as part of the 1390 Super Adventure S Evo’s electronics suite.

Powered by a compact, fifth-generation front radar sensor made by Bosch, ACC gives performance optimisation with improved truck detection, a higher maximum speed, and updated cancellation thresholds, with Dynamic, Street, and Group Ride functionality.

Six ride modes come as standard – Rain, Street, Sport, Off-Road and Custom – with a further three optional modes – two additional custom modes and a Rally mode. For the ABS, there is a Road and Off-Road mode which the rider can change on-the-go or preset in the custom ride modes, with Brembo front master cylinder.

Lighting for the 1390 Super Adventure S Evo also gets an upgrade with new look and dramatically improved lighting performance. The headlight now features cornering lights, improving safety on twisty rides at night and in low light conditions.

A new rubber damped handlebar holds a 30 mm diameter handlebar with an eccentric lower clamp allowing for one of two handlebar positions. Footrest mountings are now 8 mm lower and 10 mm wider apart, giving the rider better contact and feel when standing on the move.

The 1390 Super Adventure S Evo with the latest generation WP semi-active electronic suspension front and rear. Adding the new optional Suspension Pro package adds Pro, Anti Dive, Auto (in off-road terrain) and Off-Rode modes.

Adjustability for the windshield is 70 mm compared to the previous 55 mm, and wind tunnel engineering gives improved wind protection for maximum comfort with minimal wind noise. The storage compartment between the fuel cap and steering head is now larger, providing more space for oversized smartphones.

As for charging, the 1390 Super Adventure S Evo comes with two USB-C ports, one near the storage compartment and the other near the instrument panel. Seat comfort is also improved, with the seat adjustment mechanism improved for easier and safer seat position and height adjustment and if this is insufficient there are 11 seat variants available from the KTM PowerParts catalog.
