Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin RE005 launched in Malaysia – sizes from 15-20 inches; RRP from RM351

Bridgestone Malaysia today launched the Potenza Adrenalin RE005, the latest generation of the Japanese brand’s sports tyre that succeeds the RE004. Aimed at drivers seeking sporty performance, confident wet handling and everyday driving comfort, the RE005 is designed for a wide range of cars, including electric vehicles.

Compared to its predecessor, the RE005 boasts an 8% improvement in terms of dry grip as well as a 10% improvement in wet grip. This is thanks to the wide block design that distributes pressure evenly to support strong grip and handling on both wet and dry roads.

Additionally, integrated connecting blocks help optimise cornering stability, enabling drivers to navigate sharp turns and accelerate with confidence on corner exit. The tyre also features distinctive A-shaped grooves for predictable handling, with a wide inside rib improving steering response.

To cope with wet roads, the RE005’s advanced rain pulse groove promotes water drainage to reduce the occurrence of hydroplaning. This is in tandem with the use of an advanced rubber compound that contributes to grip, while also providing better heat resistance and precise handling characteristics.

This compound is also specifically formulated with lower rolling resistance in mind for improved fuel efficiency and wear life, while the multi-round block design for optimised contact pressure and the shoulder.

“Developed with Bridgestone’s motorsport DNA, the Potenza Adrenalin RE005 is engineered to provide confident control, responsive handling and driving pleasure suited for Malaysian roads and weather conditions,” he added.

For the Malaysian market, the RE005 will be offered in sizes ranging from 15 to 20 inches, with recommended retail prices (RRP) starting from RM351 to RM1,543.
