GTA RP's "next evolution" is coming, and you can grab millions of GTA$ with Twitch Drops
· PCGamesNGTA RP is huge, and it's just about to take its next big step forward. Nopixel, one of the biggest and most prominent Grand Theft Auto roleplay servers around, is about to launch its "next evolution." After recently teasing us with news of Nopixel V, a "full rebuild" of the project described by its creators as "a genuine reset and a fresh start," Rockstar Games has now confirmed that it will be supporting the release of its first closed beta next week with some hefty rewards. If you haven't gotten an invite yet, the GTA Online Twitch Drops on offer will help make you feel a lot better, just by tuning in.
Rockstar confirms, "Today, we are proud to support Nopixel - who have continually pushed the boundaries of GTA roleplay through character immersion, modifications to the GTA 5 map, and a creative community of dedicated storytellers - with the official announcement of the Nopixel V closed beta." It kicks off on Tuesday September 8, with a group of "invited players" able to access the test build through the Rockstar Games Launcher directly.
Nopixel V promises to be a major upgrade for the GTA RP community. "A reworked character customization system gives roleplayers more ways than ever to create characters as unique as their backstories, while new corners of the city - from the brand-new Pixel Hotel and Casino to a six-block revamp of Cypress Flats - set the stage for new stories." It will also include "refreshed visuals, new ways to make a living on either side of the law, and smarter, more reactive pedestrians."
If you aren't already on the invite list, don't worry. Firstly, Nopixel promises that it will be expanding the access over time through additional invite phases. Before that, however, there will be Twitch Drops for GTA Online if you watch players streaming the Nopixel V beta throughout September.
Watch GTA roleplayers play Nopixel V on Twitch between Tuesday September 8 and Wednesday September 30 to earn Twitch Drops including up to $1,500,000 in-game GTA Online cash and a Burger Shot Tracksuit.
As for everyone else, if you're still on the Nopixel Public or Nopixel 4.0 servers, those will continue to "remain active and supported" for the foreseeable future. It's an exciting moment for the GTA roleplaying community as a whole. We have no word yet on what a potential GTA 6 multiplayer mode might look like, which means that as the new game lands (on consoles, at least) this November, the likes of Nopixel V and the recently released FiveM Enhanced are the closest thing to next-gen GTA Online for the time being.
