Baldur’s Gate 3 is back on sale, but you’ve got to be speedy

Ask around, and you won’t find too many folks that take issue with Baldur’s Gate 3’s massive haul of Game of the Year awards. It’s one of the greatest RPGs ever made, and despite being out for well over a year now, it is still consistently played by tens of thousands of Steam users every single day. The downside to that prestige and popularity is that it does make discounts something of a rarity. However, if you’re yet to dive into Larian’s masterpiece, now’s a great time – Baldur’s Gate 3 has been dropped back down to its lowest ever Steam price, but only for a few days.

I fully understand that committing yourself to a behemoth of a game like Baldur’s Gate 3 can be a daunting prospect. However, it’s one of the best PC games of all time, and as a result I can only encourage anyone and everyone to give it a go. Yes, it may take over your life for a while, but the amount of people who regret getting lost in BG3 is microscopic compared to those who love every moment.

Only a few stumbling blocks prevented us from giving it a perfect ten in our Baldur’s Gate 3 review back in 2023, but since then the game has only become greater with huge additions like official mod support. It is a beautiful, immersive experience with unparalleled levels of depth and player agency, incredible storytelling, and strong turn-based combat.

Now, those of you yet to experience Baldur’s Gate 3 for yourselves have the perfect opportunity to grab it as it’s back on sale on Steam, but only for a short window of five days.

While there’s a good chance Baldur’s Gate 3 will go back on sale again when the end-of-year sales start to appear, it seems unlikely to me that it’ll be any cheaper than it is right now. The game is still immensely popular and those multiple GOTY wins are still fresh in gamers’ memories, so I predict it’ll be a while yet until bigger discounts hit BG3.
