How to get the Hollow Knight Silksong Needle upgrade

How do you upgrade Needle in Silksong? Hornet's signature main weapon is the most essential in her arsenal. The Needle analogous to the Nail in Hollow Knight, and without it, you wouldn't stand a chance of making it out of Pharloom alive. As a result, getting a Needle upgrade is a top priority.

How to get the Needle upgrade

To upgrade your Needle, speak to Pinmaster Plinney in Bellhart after you defeat the Widow boss.

You can find Plinney in the bellhouse on the right suspended over the bench, marked by three white pins above the door. Keep in mind that you need to save Bellhart before you can access this area.

Speak to Plinney and select 'Yes' when prompted with 'Sharpen Needle?' to receive the Sharpened Needle. This Needle upgrade is as straightforward as you can get, applying a base damage boost that extends to skills like the Silkspear.

After this initial upgrade, visit all the Silksong Pale Oil locations and return to Plinney with this rare upgrade material for further Needle upgrades.
