Forget the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090, the RTX 6090 is already being discussed

A trademark filing reveals the potential names of several Nvidia RTX 6000 gaming GPU models, as well as Super and Ti graphics cards.

While we’re still waiting for the RTX 5090 to drop, the PC gaming business is already laying the groundwork for the Nvidia GeForce RTX 6090, which has just appeared in a trademark filing, along with several other GeForce 6000-series model names, from the RTX 6050 to the RTX 6090 Super. In fact, just about every possible permutation of Nvidia’s usual GPU model names has been filed in the entry. However, it’s important to note that this filing comes from a third-party graphics card manufacturer, rather than Nvidia itself.

We’re expecting Nvidia to announce its next lineup of gaming GPUs at the CES tradeshow in January 2025, with hopefully the RTX 5090 making an appearance, as well as the RTX 5080. However, graphics card manufacturer Sinotex has jumped the gun even further, with a trademark filing for not only 15 RTX 5000 graphics card names but also several RTX 6000 GPUs.

The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) filing was spotted by Korean tech enthusiast harukaza5719, who shared it in a post on X (formerly Twitter), while also correctly noting that it’s “just a trademark registration,” rather than an Nvidia product announcement.

Sinotex is a Hong Kong-based graphics maker of computer components, including graphics cards based on both Nvidia and AMD GPUs, which feature its Ninja branding. The company has produced cards with a variety of cooler designs for several GPU lineups, but its current RTX 4000-series cards all feature blower-style coolers, which are useful for multi-GPU compute setups, thanks to their tight dual-slot width, but are noisy for gaming PCs.

It’s unlikely that this new filing is sharing inside information on Nvidia’s GPU offerings this far into the future, however. It’s more likely that Sinotex is just covering itself for every possible Nvidia GPU name it can imagine for the next couple of years. The filing includes the following GPU names that have been unannounced so far:

  • RTX 6090 Super
  • RTX 6090 Ti
  • RTX 6090
  • RTX 6080 Super
  • RTX 6080 Ti
  • RTX 6080
  • RTX 6070 Super
  • RTX 6070 Ti
  • RTX 6070
  • RTX 6060 Super
  • RTX 6060 Ti
  • RTX 6060
  • RTX 6050 Super
  • RTX 6050 Ti
  • RTX 6050
  • RTX 5090 Super
  • RTX 5090 Ti
  • RTX 5090
  • RTX 5080 Super
  • RTX 5080 Ti
  • RTX 5080
  • RTX 5070 Super
  • RTX 5070 Ti
  • RTX 5070
  • RTX 5060 Super
  • RTX 5060 Ti
  • RTX 5060
  • RTX 5050 Super
  • RTX 5050 Ti
  • RTX 5050

Of course, Nvidia hasn’t officially announced any of the above GPUs, although there are reports about the RTX 5070 potentially launching early in 2025, and we expect an RTX 5060 to be in the works as well. Sinotex clearly expects Nvidia to launch a number of new GPUs over the next few years, though, even if the end lineup is unlikely to include all the above model names.
