Israel resumes bombing of south Beirut suburbs, kills 2 in air raids in northeastern Lebanon

Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Israeli forces carried out more than 10 airstrikes against targets in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, overnight, causing several casualties with numbers yet to be confirmed.

The bombardment of the southern Beirut suburb of Dahieh came as Israel renewed its aerial campaign against the area, which it says is a Hezbollah stronghold after a lull of three weeks, Al Jazeera reported.
