May 13 (Asia Today) -- S-Oil said Wednesday it has unveiled an immersion cooling solution for data centers with Global Standard Technology at HVAC Korea 2026 in Seoul. HVAC Korea showcasing all categories of HVAC systems-including heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) systems, tanks and pumps, piping and valves, fire protection systems, and related materials.

The exhibition runs through Friday at COEX.

S-Oil is supplying immersion cooling oil designed for data center environments, while Global Standard Technology is presenting equipment that controls heat from high-performance AI and computing servers.

The companies said the combined solution is aimed at addressing rising electricity demand and heat management challenges at data centers.

S-Oil's immersion cooling oil, called S-Oil e-Cooling Solution, is designed for high-heat environments such as energy storage systems, data centers and electric vehicle batteries.

Immersion cooling places servers directly into highly insulating cooling fluid. The method can reduce electricity used for cooling and help maintain stable temperatures for high-performance AI servers by allowing the fluid to directly contact key server components and quickly disperse heat.

S-Oil said it plans to conduct demonstration tests of the technology with Global Standard Technology and Sungkyunkwan University's Supercomputing Center.

"Heat management and power efficiency have become major challenges for data centers as AI expands," an S-Oil official said. "We will contribute to improving energy efficiency in the data center industry through thermal management solutions centered on immersion cooling oil."
