BBC Strictly Come Dancing star says working with one co-star is 'challenging'
by James Rodger, https://www.facebook.com/jamesrodgerjournalist · Birmingham LiveA BBC Strictly Come Dancing has addressed working with one co-star and said it's a "challenge". JB Gill, who has made the semi-final of Strictly Come Dancing, spoke out on ITV Good Morning Britain after Birmingham dancer Lauren Oakley replaced Amy Dowden.
JB revealed: "It's going really really well. It's a massive change and a massive shift, especially when you're working with one person continuously and you work things out and then you've got a system in place. So to change that was a challenge.
"But it's been amazing. It's a different style of learning and working together. They're both pretty tough - but it's me." Lauren then chimed in and added: "He says I want to do it again. Sometimes it's the other way around, I'm like again?"

JB added: "Both of them were very good to say give it five minutes, let it settle and then we can go again." In the most recent show (the quarter-final on November 30), the duo wowed judges and audiences alike, securing an impressive 39 out of 40 points and leading the scoreboard with their Viennese Waltz to 'Let's Go Fly A Kite' from Mary Poppins during the Musicals-themed episode.
Yet, as the finale inches closer, JB finds himself up against formidable opponents, including reality TV personality Pete Wicks. "Winning Strictly would really be the icing on the cake. We've worked incredibly hard and we've gone through challenges as well," JB said.
JB remarked: "This show is all about someone like him, who doesn't have dance experience at all, who comes and learns something and you really see a genuine improvement week on week, so more power to him." In the quarter-final, Strictly's own Shirley Ballas, donning the guise of Matilda's Miss Trunchbull, lavished JB and Lauren with acclaim for their routine, describing it as "immaculate".
