The 'subtle' £30 Marks & Spencer Christmas jumper that's 'gorgeous, not tacky'

Marks and Spencer shoppers have discovered a 'subtle' Christmas jumper that was 'gorgeous, not tacky'. With it's 'nice seasonal design', the jumper 'looked good without being over blingy' - and at £29.50, was thought to be a 'reasonable' price.

M&S said the jumper, which is decorated with a festive Christmas tree on the chest, was a "unique piece". With "neat ribbed trims" and an "easy crew neckline", there was a "hint of sparkle in the yarn" and a "sprinkling of sequins on the tree" to add a "glamorous touch".

The grey Metallic Crew Neck Christmas Jumper comes in sizes XS to XL, and customers say it 'fits true to size'. Shoppers had left more than 20 reviews, giving the festive jumper an impressive 4.7 star rating.

Mary said: "I was looking for a stylish Christmas jumper at a reasonable price. This one is smart and could be worn with jeans for a relaxed event and dressed up with velvet trousers for a smarter look. Has a lovely cosy feel." Denise added: "Comfortable to wear, nice seasonal design on front."

Shelia thought the jumper looked "good without being over blingy", while Daisie said: "Gorgeous Christmas jumper, lovely and soft, with a touch of sparkle, I would highly recommend. Some Christmas jumpers from other retailers look tacky, but not this one, it’s just gorgeous."

A five-star review read: "This is the first ever Christmas jumper I have ever liked enough to buy. I love it. It is subtle enough for me to feel comfortable wearing it in any situation. Its a lot warmer material than I thought it would be and very soft to the touch. The shape is a tad boxy, would've preferred a more shaped jumper but I still like it."

However, not everyone was happy with their purchase - leaving a three-star review, one shopper said: "Had been looking at this for a while so when I got an offer I immediately ordered it. What a disappointment! The design is lovely but the jumper is very short and the texture is a lot thicker than I expected. Perhaps it’s designed for younger people but it doesn’t fit well. I returned it."
