The 'unusual' detail attracting Marks and Spencer shoppers to £35 'gem of a jumper'

When it comes to shopping for knitwear, Marks and Spencer is a high street favourite for luxury looks at an affordable price. One jumper is currently proving particularly popular with M&S shoppers thanks to an unusual detail that fans say is 'so cool' and 'enhances' the look.

The Striped Ribbed Button Detail Relaxed Jumper is one of the M&S's best-selling garments and is priced at £35. The cream-coloured knit has a nautical-inspired stripy design, offering a comfortable, laid-back fit with a crew neckline and ribbed detailing.

But it's the military-style buttons and side splits that have caught the attention of fashion fans. Those who reviewed the jumper on the M&S website described the detail as 'unusual' and 'interesting'.

Shoppers can wear the jumper with boots and a warm coat during the winter months, then ditch the coat and pair with jeans and trainers or flats in the spring.

Among the reviews, one shopper said: "Wonderful winter white jumper! Wonderful winter white jumper! Great styling with grey trim. The buttoned sides are an interesting feature. Good quality garment and super value for money. A lovely dress-up jumper."

A second fan wrote: "I love this jumper, the buttons up the side are so cool, can be left open, nice and warm as usual, sleeves so long but turned them up and a little stitch and they look good, would recommend."
