In a post on Reddit, they blame the government for their plight, and say that no one will hire them due to a lack of experience.
They said: "[sic] I'm stuck living on welfare. No savings. 300 quid a month isn't even enough. I'm sick of it. No food, left suffering month to month due to the government."
The person added: "[sic] It's not enough. I only have 100 in savings. No one can afford a mortgage on benefits.
"I have deep hatred for those in power causing suffering in such a c**p system. It's obvious it's not enough to live on.
"I have A levels and a BSc, even a master's. I can't land an entry job because no one will hire me without experience. I'm not in a town [and] can't move to a different place - I'm stuck.
"Even applying for work online is the same cycle. AI scans the CV, I even paid a career coach to look at the CV [and] he said it was fine. Even the job centre said the same.
"AI needs to be made illegal, I'm sick of it."
They continued: "People say 'try to save' [but] you physically can't due to bills, it's disgusting.
"I am trying to get work, but usually get automated replies. Poverty sucks."
In response, other Reddit users offered messages of encouragement.
One person said: "Make an appointment at your local Citizens Advice Bureau. They should be able to identify ways to help you, from food banks to local charities to money off your utilities bills.
"Don't worry about savings right now, focus on making sure you can consistently feed yourself and pay your bills first."
Another added: "I feel you, I’ve been living on £160 after rent for the last year and been struggling immensely. Even in the cities it’s hard to get employment. I wish you luck friend."
A third wrote: "It's not supposed to be enough to live on. It's deliberately low so working age people will have to work to survive decently into the long-term. It's seen as a short time thing. Agree with it or not that is the way things are."
