UK faces new drastic weather shift and it'll start from Thursday morning
by James Rodger, https://www.facebook.com/jamesrodgerjournalist · Birmingham LiveThe UK faces a "blue" weather shift as the colour on the map changes hue this week, with WX Charts predicting fresh sub-zero temperatures and a deep, UK-wide chill. The UK will experience a taste of midwinter in the coming days, according to projections from WX Charts, which uses Met Desk data.
Maps from WXCharts, a service which uses data from MetDesk, have turned blue as the mercury drops to -2C and possibly below in some areas. By November 28, Thursday, nearly the entire UK will face temperatures between 0C and -10C.
And projections show the average overnight lows appearing to be around -2C. It comes as the Met Office shared an outlook for the week, explaining temperatures would feel "colder" as we head through the working week and towards the weekend.

Next week marks the arrival of December, with a November 29 to December outlook explaining: "Probably a quieter interlude to start this period for much of the UK as high pressure builds with a return of night frosts. The high is likely to migrate eastwards however, potentially allowing some outbreaks of rain to move into some some western and northwestern areas along with some stronger winds.
"Whether these conditions edge east into other parts of the country is uncertain, but eastern areas especially may well stay drier and colder through the weekend. Into December, and while signals are mixed it looks most likely that high pressure may re-assert itself close to or over the UK, with temperatures generally near average, but some overnight frost is likely, and rather cold by day where any fog persists."
A December 9 to December 23 outlook adds: "The start of this period looks like being largely settled, with high pressure close to if not over the UK. However as we move further into December there are signs that it will become less settled with west or northwesterly types preferred, These will bring some wetter and windier interludes with a risk of some snow, especially for hills in the north. These conditions look more likely to dominate towards the middle of December. Temperatures generally close to average through the period."
