'Timesaver' condensation remover reduced to £40 and fans insist 'every home needs one'
by Emily Chaplin, https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/authors/emily-chaplin/ · Birmingham LiveAmazon has reduced the price of one of its best-selling time-saving winter gadgets that shoppers are calling 'condensation's worst nightmare'.
The Kärcher WV 1 Window Vac is a leading brand in condensation removal, with the gadget attracting more than 13,000 five-star reviews on the Amazon website alone. The hand-held window vacuum cleaner works by absorbing moisture from smooth surfaces like windows, mirrors and tiles, leaving a streak-free finish.
Ideal for use in the winter months when condensation is at its worst, the cordless gadget is lightweight and easy to use, has a 20-minute battery time on full charge and a 100ml water tank. The LED display shows how much battery is left during use.

Originally priced at £44.99, the Kärcher WV 1 Window Vac has been reduced to £39.99 on Amazon. It has an average rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars on the Amazon website, with shoppers describing it as a 'huge timesaver' and a 'lifesaver' during the winter, while other said they were 'surprised how well it works'.
One customer said: "Condensation's worst nightmare. This has been such a life saver during the first half of this winter season. Battery life lasts depending on amount of usage, and is very quick and effective. The only downside is that the water does fill up quite quickly, but it's very easy and quick to empty out."
Carmel said: "It works. Got it this morning and have only used it once but so far I'm really happy with. Very easy to use I live in an old building with single glazing with very bad condensation in the winter. And this little machine perfectly takes all the condensation off windows dries them and stores all the water in a little convenient reservoir. It's a huge timesaver."
One shopper said: "Surprised on how well it works. It's early days but so far so good. The suction power doesn't seem that great to hold your fingers against it but when in use it works fine. Using for condensation on windows and it is remarkable just how much water it picks up. Being a well known (quality I think) brand, I am hoping that this thing lasts."
And someone else put: "Would not be without one of these! Great for windows but also very useful for bathroom tiles and shower screens. Clears condensation on inside of windows in winter. Every home should have one."
However, a few people found the window vac's tank was 'fiddly to empty', as Nat said: "Fiddly to empty. Can't hold much. Why can it not hold more? It reaches the max after two windows and you need to empty it. Annoying to empty. It works well enough but could be better."
Shoppers can save 11% off the price of the Kärcher WV 1 Window Vac on Amazon. The same model costs £40 at Argos.
Alternatively, the Beldray BEL0749 Cordless Window Vac has also been reduced from £29.99 to £21 on Amazon, while Dunelm's Absodry Duo Family Moisture Absorber also helps with condensation and costs £25.
