One shopper who purchased the new Fire Stick said: "So easy to set up and get going, lightweight and can be moved around with ease. definitely worth paying more for the 4k, the picture quality is great. Voice recognition makes searching so much quicker & easier. I have not experienced any buffering whilst using which is a bonus."

Another added: "I was always sceptical purchasing one of these, it always seemed so lacklustre compared to the more expensive streaming devices but I won’t lie, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how much I use it and the ease and functionality of it. Set up was a breeze, streaming works without a hitch, the device is nice and compact and there’s a lot of content to browse. My only gripe is that there isn’t an obvious clock or time on the homepage, but as that’s a personal want and not a product fault, 5 stars it is!"

And a third said: "Wow should have got this a long time ago. Has some great Apps that do not require a subscription and there’s loads of films, series etc etc on to watch, plus of course the big ones like Netflix and Prime. Easy to install and set up. In fact liked it so much, I bought another one for another room so I can watch what I like wherever! Have had no issues with WiFi or buffering. My only issue is I can’t fit my aerial lead back into the tv as the hdmi port this goes in is right next to it and the fire tv stick is quite big."

One person said they did need a bit of time to get the hang of it, and said: "Like the performance , needs a little bit to get use to it."

You can get the Amazon Fire TV Stick here for £34.99. Alternatively, Argos is selling the Roku Express HD Streaming Device with HDMI Cable and Remote for £24.99 with a saving of £5.
