Radio 2 breakfast presenter Zoe Ball has sold her countryside estate after purchasing it for a cool £2million, with reports coming in that she's relocated. Ball, who has been off-air from her show since August 8, appears to have made the move in recent times, having put her Newick village home on the market, a property she picked up back in August 2020.

The broadcaster is thought to have opted for a townhouse nestled between Brighton and Hove, positioning her close to her former partner, the renowned DJ Norman Cook, also known as Fatboy Slim. The pair, who share two children, parted ways six years ago and finalized their divorce in 2020.

This shift seems to mark a fresh chapter for Ball following the end of her relationship with Michael Reed in the previous year, after over half a decade together.

An individual familiar with Zoe's relocation plans shared with Mail Online: "Zoe obviously got fed up with life in the country and wanted to move to somewhere a bit more lively.", reports the Mirror.

It's also been mentioned that Zoe is taking great pleasure in furnishing her abode, keen to make it into her ideal living space.

The insider noted: "She has become really engrossed in making her house just as she wants it and has been happily ordering furniture and buying bits and bobs to make it perfect."

Ball's new living arrangements came to light when she was seen recently in Hove at a cafe, accompanied by a group including her ex-husband. Observers claimed she spent just over an hour at the location.

Recent snaps capture the broadcaster engaging in lively conversation with a group before taking a stroll along the seafront. Zoe Ball hasn't graced her listeners on her morning radio show since August 8, with Scott Mills and Gaby Roslin stepping in to cover for her.

Rumours are circulating that Zoe could be making her comeback to the breakfast slot next Monday.

BBC schedules point to Zoe reclaiming her morning airwaves while Scott Mills is set to return to his usual afternoon programme. A Radio 2 spokeswoman kept it brief, saying only: "Zoe will return to the Radio 2 Breakfast Show later this month."

However, the show's description teases listeners with: "Wake up and embrace the day with Zoe Ball and the team. Zoe keeps the tunes rolling on Maximum Music Monday."

Scott Mills, while filling in during the August 12 show, had to reassure the audience after Zoe's absence. "If you set your alarm every morning to go off at 6:30am and normally Zoe comes on, please do not freak out. You have not overslept," he clarified.

"If you've just put us on this morning, it's Scott Mills in for Zoe for the next few weeks. I'm sending you all my love Zo', as are the team."
