TGI Fridays launch one of the cheapest Christmas meals including Santa's Smashed Burger

It's the time of year for festive feasting, with classic delights like pigs in blankets and eggnog taking the spotlight until December's end. If you're seeking to add a bit of flair to your holiday spread, TGI Fridays' freshly unveiled Christmas menu might be just what you need.

As an American-style restaurant and cocktail bar, their limited-time dishes provide a distinctive taste of the States. Cheese enthusiasts will be delighted with options such as Merry Cheesy Christmas (cheese ring doughnuts with a sweet and smoky seasoning, served with mozzarella dippers and cranberry and chilli jam), and Cajun Claus Mac and Cheese, which adds a kick to the traditional dish with Cajun spices and extra cranberry and chilli jam.

For the main course, Santa's Smashed Burger is bound to hit the spot - two beef patties piled high with all the fixings (lettuce, tomato, pickle and more), topped off with a Cajun cheese sauce, mozzarella dippers and cheese doughnuts. For those preferring plant-based options, the Very Merry Vegan burger, featuring a plant-based patty and vegan cheese, should fit the bill.

And for the dessert, TGI Fridays combines two holiday favourites - chocolate and orange - in a delicious chocolate brownie served with orange sorbet.

But it's not just about the food, there's also a plethora of festive drinks to get you in the holiday spirit. These include a Christmas-themed martini paired with Black Forest flavours, as well as a 'Frostbite' - a concoction of spiced rum, pineapple juice, lime and blue curaçao, topped with a snowy foam, blue sugar rim and marshmallow garnish, reports Kent Live.

For the little ones, there's Dasher's Merry Shake - a vanilla and chocolate milkshake that resembles a reindeer, inspired by Richard Curtis' upcoming animated film, That Christmas. You can enjoy a two-course set menu of an appetiser and a main course for £21.95, with desserts on their own only costing £5.

To really embrace the festive spirit, £1 of every set menu will be donated to the NSPCC. If you're over 18, you can even participate in the interactive digital game by scanning the TGI Fridays Christmas set menu, playing for the chance to win a range of prizes - like free bottles of Coca-Cola or up to £50 off the bill of your next visit.
