Amazon reduces cordless vacuum 'like a mini Dyson' to £40 and shoppers 'can't fault it'

Amazon has reduced the price of one of its best-selling handheld vacuum cleaners which shoppers say is 'like a mini Dyson'. The Portutif Handheld Vacuum Cleaner has been reduced from £49.99 to £39.99.

The lightweight yet powerful gadget has been praised by shoppers for its powerful suction, long battery life and easiness to use and empty. Its cordless so can be used in those hard-to-reach nooks and crannies in the home or car, with 25 to 30 minutes runtime and it's said to be quick to charge.

The mini vacuum has received more than 6,000 reviews on the Amazon website, with an average rating of 4.4 out of 5 stars. Several people compared the useful gadget to a Dyson, claiming it's 'just as good' or 'better', while others were impressed by its powerful suction ability.

One happy customer said: "More suction than expected. Easy to clean, I haven't used it consistently but it charges in a few hours. I used it for my bedroom to pick up yarn and fluff which this is perfect for. It's like a mini Dyson." A second person wrote: "Good lightweight handheld hoover. Only been using it for a couple of weeks but it does have a strong suction. Have used a Dyson in the past and it's just as good. Just need to get use to the power switch which needs to be held down a tad longer for on/off."

Someone else said: "Great dust-buster. I was browsing about for replacement as my Dyson was dying. Way too many choices but kept coming back to this one so took the plunge and wow am I glad I did. Some people found that the hoover wasn't great for removing pet hair, as one shopper wrote: "This product is okay for hard floors and small jobs. Whilst it has good battery life, that is hampered by the filter getting blocked quickly if you have pet hair. I missed not having a boost option as the power isn't good enough for what I needed it for (pet hair on sofas, stairs)."
