Amazon's 'saviour' £17 anti-dandruff shampoo shoppers say 'solves problem for good'

An anti-dandruff shampoo has attracted more than 8,000 reviews on Amazon shoppers say it 'solved the problem for good'. The Vichy Dercos Anti-Dandruff and Anti-Itch Shampoo is one of the best-selling new finds on the Amazon website.

Priced at £17 for a 500ml container, the dermatologist-recommended shampoo is designed for use on normal to oily hair. The gentle formula promises to get rid of dandruff flakes while cleansing hair and soothing itchy scalps.

The shampoo lathers to exfoliate the scalp, reducing oil build-up. It's made with 1% Salicylic Acid and 1% Selenium Disulfide to provide instant relief and several shoppers noticed a significant difference from the first use.

The Vichy Dercos Shampoo has received more than 6,400 five-star reviews on Amazon and has an average rating of 4.6 out of five stars. One customer called it a 'scalp saviour' and someone else wrote: "After struggling with dandruff for a while, I decided to try the Dercos Anti-Dandruff Shampoo and I am truly impressed by the results.

"While some shampoos take a while to show any visible effect, this one started working by the second use, which is quite remarkable. By then, I noticed a significant reduction in dandruff and less scalp itchiness, which made it clear how efficient the formula is.

"The shampoo lathers well and leaves the scalp feeling refreshed and clean, without over-drying the hair. It also has a pleasant scent that doesn't feel overpowering. After consistent use, my dandruff has become almost non-existent, and my hair feels much healthier overall."

However, some shoppers found that the pump was awkward to use, as one person said: "This is a great shampoo. It gets rid of dandruff in no time and it's much better than any other brand I have tried. The only downside is the packaging as the pump in some bottles doesn't work."

A 390ml bottle of Vichy's Dercos Anti-Dandruff and Anti-Itch Shampoo costs £22 on Amazon. A 500ml refill pack is also available at the reduced price of £17, originally £26.41.

Alternatively, Nizoral's Anti-dandruff Shampoo costs £7.65 for a 60ml bottle at Boots, while the Kérastase Symbiose Moisturising Anti-Dandruff Cellular Shampoo has been reduced from £25.41 for a 250ml bottle.
