Terrifying moment 'XL Bully' goes on rampage around Bordesley Green biting girl, 11, and two men
by Carl Jackson, Jamie Brassington, https://www.facebook.com/CarlJacksonBCC/, https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/authors/jamie-brassington/ · Birmingham LiveThis is the terrifying moment a dog - believed to be an XL Bully - marauded around the streets of Birmingham, attacking three people including an 11-year-old girl. A 35-second video clip, which was first published on TikTok, shows the dog, named Tyson, running around streets in Bordesley Green biting people as people shouted and screamed.
The first part of the clip shows the dog attacking someone on the ground near market stalls as bystanders, including a motorcyclist, rush to help and free the victim. The muscular dog can then be seen darting past the market stalls as it chases after a man dressed in a white t-shirt and shorts across the road.
The man flees onto the forecourt of a petrol station with the out-of-control dog in pursuit. The 'XL Bully' is seen leaping over a shallow brick wall before locking onto the man.

People are heard screaming, some running away in terror, as the man stumbles along with the dog hanging off of him at the fuel garage. He then falls to the floor as another man, wielding what appears to be a broom, runs over and starts striking the dog in a bid to free the man on the floor.
A car also drives towards them and others join in the rescue effort to free the man. The dog belonged to Farhat Ajaz and it had wrestled free of its collar in September last year.
A court heard how Tyson bit into the girl's arm and shoulder before turning on two men who bravely intervened, sinking its teeth into them. During a hearing at Birmingham Crown Court yesterday on Friday, November 15, it was confirmed the dog has since been destroyed, although prosecutors could not conclusively say whether it was actually an XL Bully.
Ajaz, 62, from Bordesley Close, was banned from keeping dogs for life. It was also revealed the defendant was handed a life sentence at the age of 15 for which he served 25 years in custody, although details of the crime were not disclosed.
In addition he admitted harassing his ex-partner in 2022 including calling her a 'prostitute' and threatening to put her 'in a grave'.
The court heard Ajaz suffered a heart attack shortly after the dog attacks and had a number of serious health problems. He was handed a two-year sentence, suspended for two years, after pleading guilty to harassment, putting someone in fear of violence and three counts of being an owner of a dog which caused injury while dangerously out of control.
