Meta is broadening the reach of its AI assistant, Meta AI, by launching it in more countries and languages. The company announced today that it would make Meta AI accessible in 21 new regions, beginning with the United Kingdom, Brazil, and various countries across Latin America and Asia. This significant rollout will occur gradually over the remainder of the year.

New Countries Welcomed into the Meta AI Community

As of today, users in Brazil, Bolivia, Guatemala, Paraguay, the Philippines, and the United Kingdom can now engage with Meta AI. The addition of Tagalog language support marks a notable enhancement for Filipino users. Following this initial rollout, users in Algeria, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Malaysia, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Thailand, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, and Yemen can expect Meta AI to arrive soon. This expansion supports Arabic, Indonesian, Thai, and Vietnamese languages, further catering to a diverse global audience.

Meta AI is integrated into popular applications such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger. Users can tap the Meta AI icon or type “@Meta AI” in a group chat to access the service. This seamless integration allows individuals to leverage AI capabilities while communicating with friends and family. With nearly 500 million active users expected by year-end, Meta AI aims to be the world’s most used AI assistant.

With this expansion, Meta AI will be available in a total of 43 countries, offering support in various languages. This initiative enables more users to engage with artificial intelligence for research, creative brainstorming, and content generation. The tool assists individuals in generating ideas for art projects, home décor, and other creative pursuits.

In addition, Meta is rolling out a new voice support feature for its Ray-Ban Meta glasses in the UK and Australia. This upgrade allows users to interact with Meta AI hands-free, ensuring convenience for on-the-go users.

Future Innovations on the Horizon

The social media giant plans to continue enhancing the user experience by updating Meta AI regularly, with features designed to inspire creativity and streamline tasks. The company aims to make improvements to meet the needs of its growing audience after being fined $102 million for storing passwords in plaintext.
