Galaxy Z Fold 7 & Flip 7 Get September Security Update With New Features

The September 2025 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 & Flip 7 brings new features
This update actually brings two new features to the table. One feature is related to the Now Bar, while the other one has to do with Samsung DeX. This update brings Google Finance integration for the Now Bar and the option to add widgets on the home screen in the Samsung DeX mode.
The update weighs around 700MB. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is getting the firmware version F966NKSU4AYI1, while the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is getting the firmware version F766NKSU4AYI1.
What about the security aspect? Well, this update also includes a high dose of high-level security fixes, including two critical software fixes. The critical updates actually come directly from Google One is related to the Android System fix, while the other is for a Qualcomm closed-source component vulnerability.
By the time you’re reading this article, it’s easily possible this update has spread to more markets. Once these security updates start going out, it doesn’t take long for them to reach many other markets. That’s especially true for Samsung.
