Samsung might tease One UI 7.0 at a developer conference in November

Samsung has scheduled a second developer conference this year
Samsung revealed the stable version of One UI 6.0 at the Samsung Developer Conference 2023 (SDC23). Hence, several developers and Samsung Galaxy smartphone owners expected it to unveil One UI 7.0.
Samsung, however, did not talk about the latest custom Android skin that’s exclusive to Galaxy devices. Instead, the company focused on its Tizen OS and other developments in the Generative Artificial Intelligence segment.
Samsung announced that it has scheduled another SDC later this year. Specifically speaking, Samsung Developer Conference Korea 2024 is set to take place on November 21. It will be an online event, and a dedicated sign-up website is now live.
Will Samsung unveil One UI 7.0 at November’s developer conference?
Samsung has reportedly confirmed there will be two keynote speeches and a total of 29 sessions. The tech giant will discuss its progress in fields such as on-device generative AI.
The second developer conference will focus on how Samsung Health is making a bigger impact in digital healthcare. On the hardware side, Samsung is expected to discuss how it is infusing Matter protocol to the SmartThings platform.
Samsung hasn’t specifically mentioned about One UI, and more specifically, the eagerly awaited One UI 7.0. However, one of the keynotes will discuss about “Improving the user experience of Samsung Electronics’ software and device platforms”.
Samsung Electronics Device Platform Center Vice President Jeong Jae-yeon and Samsung Research Executive Director Kwon Ho-beom will jointly preside and present this keynote. This raises the possibility of the company teasing One UI 7.0 and talking about the Android skin, its major redesign, or the latest Galaxy foldable devices.
