OPPO Find N5 will launch before the OPPO Find X8 Ultra

The OPPO Find N5 is essentially the OnePlus Open 2’s twin, and it seems like it will launch before the OPPO Find X8 Ultra. OPPO’s Product Manager basically confirmed this information.

The OPPO Find N5 will launch before its sibling, the OPPO Find X8 Ultra

The company’s employee in question is called Zhou Yibao. He flat out said, via Weibo, that the “new generation of large folding” (machine translation) will launch “first”, and that the OPPO Find X8 Ultra will follow.

That was his response when asked whether the OPPO Find X8 Ultra will launch in January. So, based on that response, we can assume that the company’s book-style foldable is coming early next year. The same goes for the OPPO Find X8 Ultra too. We don’t think there will be a lot of space between those two launches.

The OPPO Find N3 is essentially the same phone as the OnePlus Open. Those two phones are aimed at different markets and are launched under different brandings. OnePlus and OPPO are sister companies, in case you’re unaware.

Early 2025 is the expected launch timeframe

The same is expected to happen with the OPPO Find N5 and OnePlus Open 2. The OnePlus Open 2 is also expected to arrive in early 2025, despite the fact a recent rumor said that it’s coming in the second half of 2025.

Anything is possible at this point, though, of course. One thing is for sure, the OPPO Find N5 and its twin brother will be thinner and lighter than their predecessors. That much has been confirmed by multiple sources.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite is expected to fuel the two phones, while a larger battery is also rumored. OPPO and OnePlus are also expected to improve the camera setup, even though the two devices that are on the market at the moment have some of the best cameras on foldable smartphones.
