Hyderabad DEO reveals SIR enumeration form language

The house-to-house visits by BLOs will begin on June 25.

Hyderabad: District Election Officer (DEO) and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner R V Karnan has revealed the enumeration form language for the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, which is set to begin on Thursday, June 25.

During a press conference held on Monday, June 22, he said that the enumeration form that will be distributed in the GHMC areas from Thursday will be printed in English.

Although the enumeration form language will be in English in GHMC areas, it will be printed in Telugu in all other districts of Telangana.

Apart from this, the form can be filled by electors online by visiting the official portal or using the ECI App.

The forms that are filled offline need to be signed by either the elector or any adult family member.

As of June 10, 2026, there are 47,36,669 electors in Hyderabad districts. Out of them, 23,99,880 are male, 23,36,448 are female and 341 are third gender.

For all the electors in Hyderabad, the SIR enumeration form language is going to be English.

The house-to-house visits by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will begin on June 25.

During the visits, which will continue till July 24, the voters who have not yet mapped with the 2002 SIR list can provide details to BLOs. The voters can map themselves either with themselves or their relatives in the 2002 SIR list.

For the sake of SIR, father, mother, maternal grandfather, maternal grandmother, paternal grandfather and paternal grandmother are the allowed relatives. Mapping with relatives other than these is invalid.

Rationalisation of polling stations will be completed by July 24. The draft electoral roll will be published on July 31, following which the claims and objections phase will continue from July 31 to August 30.

During the claims and objections period, electors can apply for the inclusion of their name as a new elector by using Form 6, which is also called the New Declaration Form.

Electors can use Form 8 in case of applying for a new residential address within or outside the constituency, or for correction or updating of entries, replacement of EPIC and marking of PwD.

The notice phase will begin on July 31 and end on September 28. The final electoral roll will be published on October 1.
