New home built for new beginnings
by Provided Content · Las Vegas Review-JournalFor Christina Fitch and Trevor Larsen, finding a new home at Carlisle Ridge by Tri Pointe Homes is about creating a place where two families could come together, build new traditions and begin an exciting chapter in their blended lives.
Their journey to homeownership started unexpectedly. One Saturday afternoon on a whim, the couple decided to visit a few model homes. What they discovered at Carlisle Ridge in Summerlin’s Grand Park village immediately captured their attention.
“We walked into the two-story home, and it was love at first sight,” Larsen said. “The design, the openness and especially the natural light just felt different. We could instantly picture our family here.”
That feeling carried them to the purchase of Carlisle Ridge’s Plan Three, a thoughtfully designed two-story home that perfectly fit the needs of their large, blended family. To complete their dream home, the couple is nearing completion on their backyard pool — something their kids are very excited for.
For Larsen, owner of the successful Tru Beauty by Trevor medical spa, the home represents the fulfillment of a dream shaped by perseverance, resilience and love. After opening his business, he faced an unimaginable loss when his wife passed away just five months later. As he focused on raising his four children and growing the company, life eventually brought Fitch into the picture.
Fitch spent more than two decades with the Clark County School District, serving in a variety of leadership roles, including as the founding assistant principal opening Vassiliadis Elementary School in Summerlin. After years in education, she was offered a life-changing decision to leave CCSD and join Larsen at Tru Beauty, becoming both his business partner and years later, evolving into a life partner.
Together, they now share a family of six children ranging in age from 8 to 19.
“This home is really about bringing everyone together,” Fitch said. “We wanted a place where the kids could feel connected while still having room to grow and be themselves.”
That balance was one of the reasons a home in Tri Pointe’s Carlisle neighborhood stood out. The design features spacious main living areas, a primary suite and guest rooms on the first floor with secondary bedrooms and a loft upstairs, creating natural spaces for gathering while also allowing family members privacy when they need it.
Larsen especially appreciates the additional space after years of living with four children in an 1,800-square-foot home.
Carlisle homes offer exceptional flexibility and sophistication with living space often arranged around open and enhanced courtyards, covered loggias, expansive decks, walls of glass and disappearing doors that create seamless indoor-outdoor living. Generous open-concept layouts are ideal for entertaining with family and friends who naturally gather around oversized and L-shaped islands in gourmet kitchens.
“The space is incredible,” he said. “Everyone can have their own area, but we also have these beautiful, shared spaces where we can spend time together. For a family our size, that’s really important.”
In addition to the private main-floor primary suite with an opulent walk-in closet and lush spa-like bath — just off the tranquil courtyard — the couple especially appreciate the bed/bath suites that are designed for the needs of growing families, and flex rooms that they will use as bedrooms but could be easily turned into an office, gym or tech rooms. Plus, the large loft offers the opportunity to create a family game room.
Select floor plans also include Tri Pointe’s coveted GenSmart Suite, thoughtfully designed to welcome extended family or long-term guests in comfort and privacy.
Larsen and Fitch view their purchase as a long-term investment — not only financially, but emotionally. “We see this as an investment in our future and in our family,” Larsen said. “It’s where holidays will happen, where memories will be made, and where our kids will continue growing together.”
From their first visit through the building process and after-purchase customer service, Larsen and Fitch say the Tri Pointe Homes team made the experience comfortable and enjoyable. “Everyone was incredibly welcoming, supportive and responsive,” Fitch said. “There was never any pressure. The entire team was amazing.”

Carlisle Ridge features a stylish mix of three expansive single- and two-story floor plans ranging from 3,234 square feet to 4,417 square feet with up to four bedrooms and 4½ baths.
Carlisle Peak delivers the same elevated lifestyle and stunning surroundings, available in three two-story floor plans that range from 3,590 square feet to 4,283 square feet, up to five bedrooms and 4½ baths, plus such design elements as private decks, expansive courtyards, floating staircases and flexible living spaces designed for modern lifestyle.
Every Tri Pointe home is built with its LivingSmart program, incorporating energy-efficient technologies and sustainable design elements that enhance comfort, wellness and long-term saving.
As they prepare to officially move in, Fitch and Larsen often find themselves reflecting on how far they have come and what lies ahead.
“This home represents so much more than a place to live,” Larsen said. “It’s the result of years of hard work, healing and hope. It’s a beautiful story built over years of resilience and now we have a place where our family can write its next chapter together.”
