LETTER: Another California folly
by Thomas Grigsby Las Vegas · Las Vegas Review-JournalYour Monday editorial addressed the CalTrans proposal to have high speed buses — 140 mph — between Los Angeles and San Francisco. What happened to the strict pollution phobia of California environmentalists? Where could these vehicles safely drive anywhere near that speed on any road in the world and not endanger everyone near them, including the passengers? Everyone else’s speed limit would probably be a maximum of 70 mph.
What happened to traveling by air? As the editorial stated, you can’t make this stuff up.
