ToI closes its Arabic- and Persian-language sites

Cites ease of online translation, focus on original English content

The Times of Israel has ceased publishing its Arabic site and its Persian site.

This step was taken in light of the fact that those two sites generally translated The Times of Israel’s English material, given the ease nowadays for people to translate online material themselves, and so that The Times of Israel can allocate maximal resources to its globally resonant original English-language content.

The Times of Israel is the world’s largest English-language website covering Israel, the Middle East and the Jewish world. ToI continues to publish its widely read French site and Zman Yisrael, its thriving Hebrew sister site.

We are proud to have published in both Arabic and Persian for many years, informing readers in their own language about events in Israel, the region and beyond.
