THIS is the series everyone is obsessed with - and when it will hit UK screens
· GOSS.ieJust as Heated Rivalry has emerged as the highest-rated television program ever, it has finally been given a UK airdate and network.
Since its steamy scenes made headlines last month, the raunchy Canadian thriller has become a worldwide sensation.
The seductive romance, which is based on Rachel Reid’s best-selling Game Changers books, tells the story of two ice hockey rivals who fall in love after a covert eight-year affair.
Starring Connor Storrie as Ilya Rozanov and Hudson Williams as Shane Hollander, two of Major League Hockey’s best stars with a bitter rivalry on the ice.
The show’s blurb teases: “Over the next eight years, the pair chase glory on the ice while struggling to navigate their feelings off it.”
“Torn between the sport they live for and the love they can’t ignore, Shane and Ilya must decide if there is room in their fiercely competitive world for something as fragile and as powerful as real love.”
And now that Sky and Now TV have won a bidding war for the broadcast rights, it will finally arrive in the UK.
The series will debut on January 10 and has tied with an episode of Breaking Bad as one of the only episodes to gain thousands of 10/10 reviews.
The show, which began as a smutty queer hockey show and has since become a cultural phenomenon, has left viewers speechless.
