Massive fire at a former Dallas strip club

The massive fire broke out early Friday morning.

Crews battled a massive fire at a former Dallas strip club early Friday morning.

Dallas Fire Rescue said they were called out to what used to be Dallas Gentleman's Club on 2117 W Northwest Highway before 3:30 a.m.

The fire grew to a second alarm at around 3:31 a.m. Multiple units were on scene and eventually took a defensive stance on the fire when it got too big, officials with DFR said.

It's unclear if there have been any injuries or what may have started the fire.

Eastbound and westbound lanes of Loop 12/Northwest Highway in the area are shut down near the fire battle.
