Saudi Industry Ministry clears 2,758 chemical items in April

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources processed 778 chemical-clearance service requests in April, reflecting its efforts to support industrial investment and drive the growth and expansion of industrial facilities across the Kingdom.

Ministry Spokesperson Jarrah Al Jarrah said the processed applications comprised 703 requests for the clearance of imports of unrestricted chemicals and 75 applications for permits to import restricted chemicals.

The approved requests covered a total of 2,758 chemical items.

Al Jarrah noted that the ministry’s chemical-clearance service allows industrial investors to apply for clearance certificates as well as import and export permits for chemicals used in industrial operations through the Sanai platform.

The service is designed to streamline procedures and accelerate the issuance of chemical clearances, helping industrial establishments obtain the required approvals efficiently while facilitating the smooth entry of materials through the Kingdom’s ports.
