U.S. says strikes against Iranian targets are over, will hold Tehran ‘accountable’ for violations

by · The Washington Times

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates —The U.S. military said its latest strikes against Iran are over after it hit more than 80 targets, warning Tehran it would hold it “accountable” over what it called further violations of the interim deal between the two countries.

The U.S. military’s Central Command made the announcement in a social media post.

It said it hit Iranian targets including air defense systems, radars and over 60 small boats used by Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard.

Iran has acknowledged the strikes, but offered no word on any losses.

The U.S. military remains “postured and prepared to hold Iran accountable when the agreement is not adhered to or obeyed,” it added.
