Last minute change to royal Christmas at Sandringham
by Lydia Starbuck · Royal CentralThere’s been a last minute change to the guest list at Sandringham for this year’s royal Christmas celebrations and for a rather important reason.
Princess Beatrice will now spend the festive season at the Norfolk estate with the Royal Family.
She and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, had planned to go to Italy to have Christmas with his relatives there.
However, Princess Beatrice, who is now in the later stages of her second pregnancy, has been advised not to travel by doctors.
The family have put their plans for an Italian Christmas on hold and will now head to Sandringham instead where King Charles and Queen Camilla will welcome them to the royal celebrations.
It’s already been confirmed that Beatrice’s father, Prince Andrew, won’t be at Sandringham. Andrew and his former wife, Sarah, Duchess of York, decided not to join the royal party after his relationship with an alleged Chinese spy came to light.
Beatrice’s sister, Princess Eugenie, won’t be at Sandringham – she is spending Christmas with the family of her husband, Jack Brooksbank.
It’s understood that Queen Camilla’s son, Tom Parker Bowles, and his children will be joining the royals at Sandringham this year.
