Want to Find Bigfoot in Texas? Here Are the Best Spots to Search

· NewsTalk 1290

One of the most elusive creatures on the planet Earth, Bigfoot, has been everywhere it seems. That includes the Lone Star State. Many people have claimed to see the supposed ape man but where has he been seen the most? You'll probably inclined to think he might be found in forested areas but as this video from El Paso shows, he just might be in the desert.

Ok this video might just be a hoax but there are several cities in Texas that have CLAIMED to have seen Bigfoot more than one time. No we're not talking the city that's NAMED "Bigfoot" that has a population of just over 1,000 people. Nor are we talking about the Bigfoot monster truck either; although the biggest monster truck in the world HAS made a few appearances in Texas too.

Which Texas city has the most Bigfoot sightings?

According to the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organizations website, they have a map of documented Bigfoot sightings all over the state of Texas. It appears that if you travel to Northeast Texas, you're more likely to see him close to the borders of Oklahoma, Arkansas & Louisiana.

The counties with the most sightings (at least according to the BFRO) are Montgomery, Liberty & Cass; each with 16, 11 & 10 sightings respectively.

HOWEVER...there is one city that claims to be the Bigfoot capital of Texas. That city is Jefferson; a city to have claimed to have Bigfoot sightings since the 1920s.

Here some notable Bigfoot sightings in Texas caught on tape

While Bigfoot sightings are hard to capture on film, there are some people that claimed to have seen him. One dashboard camera claims they found Bigfoot while driving in Brownwood, Texas, another person says they caught footage on their camera at the Daingerfield State Park & of course there's the 2019 "Bigfoot sighting spree" from Santa Fe, Texas.

Perhaps Bigfoot really is hiding in the Texas wilderness. But until then, just keep your cameras rolling because you never know what you'll capture.
