I used to have a ton of toys that I outgrew, lost, gave or just plain threw away. Now I see those toys for sale online and I want to cry. Apparently, I could have damn near retired on the Star Wars stuff and a couple of old albums alone.

Incomplete Sets Can Be Pretty Valuable

Got a Monopoly game that's missing half the "Chance" cards or has no doggie token? Or, maybe, the cards and the doggie token are ALL you have? Either way, don't toss them ... go online and see who else is looking for stuff.

Valuable Junk That You Don't Know Is Valuable

Empty toilet paper and paper towel rolls are super popular when it comes to kids arts and crafts projects. Stop shipping 'em off in the recycling bin and start selling them. There's a pack of 25 going for about $100 right now and a 50 pack is almost $200.

Same for colored paper clips. This small set of 8 colors is almost $20. Pine cones are widely used in holiday decor and these guys are going for $15 each. My next day trip to Ruidoso may just make some of that Star Wars money back ...
